Solution-Focused Methods

Solution-Focused Therapies - or SFTs - are a range of approaches – including coaching and hypnotherapy - which are designed to help you move forwards, quickly. We will begin by focusing on a particular challenge (often narrowed down before or within the first session). From here we will move towards goal-setting and defining an ideal outcome or envisioned future state. Then in each session we’ll move closer towards that state by exploring the issues and developing strategies to help overcome whatever is holding you back. I am trained to combine range of modalities including:

You will continue to work between sessions on embedding your new strategies into your life and by the end of your session package you will be well on your way to moving beyond whatever has held you back. This is unlike counselling and other long-term talk therapies where a therapist will focus over an extended period of time on helping you explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. However, if I think you would benefit from counselling I will let you know.
